WangWeizhong,theGovernorofGuangdongProvince,statedinhisspeechthatoverthepastfiveyears,Guangdong,HongKong,andMacaohavecontinuouslypromotedthealignmentofrules,regulationsandmechanismswhiledeepeningcooperationininnovationfactorresources,platforms,andprojects.TheShenzhen-HongKong-Guangzhoutechnologyclusterhasrankedsecondgloballyintheinnovationindexforfiveconsecutiveyears.

MarshallexplainedthatwiththeuseofantibioticstotreatHelicobacterpylori,onlyabout20%ofendoscopiesinAustraliaaregastricendoscopies,allowingmedicalresourcestobemorefocusedoncolorectalcancerscreening.

Zelmanovbelievedthatmathematicshasnobordersandthatthereisonlyone"mathematics"intheworld.Peoplefromdifferentcountrieslearnfromeachother,studythesamemathematicalproblems,andreachthesameconclusions.
Zelmanovalsosuggestedstrengtheningtheconnectionbetweenmathematicalresearch,mathematicians,andschools,aswellasbetweenuniversitiesandhighschools,toinspiremathematicianstoworkwithchildreninschools.
ZelmanovfurtherstatedthatGuangdongcurrentlyhasexcellentschools,astrongresearchsystem,andworld-leadingtechnology.Initsfuturedevelopment,Guangdongshouldprioritizetheestablishmentofworld-leadingresearchuniversities.
